Nick is a Principal and one of the founding leaders of Proveras with over 33 years of experience in commercial real estate, assisting local, national, and international companies with a vast array of significant real estate transactions.

Experience

Nick started his career in leasing and commercial development working in-house for an Ottawa-based real estate development company, where he was instrumental in the development and leasing of several large office, retail, and industrial projects. After transitioning to commercial brokerage, and before founding Proveras, Nick reached the position of Vice President within a multi-national full service real estate firm, where he focused on tenant and owner-occupier representation for public and private sector organizations.

Expertise

Nick is an Ottawa native and a graduate of University of Ottawa with an honours degree in commerce. His knowledge and experience allow him to provide expert advice on a broad spectrum of commercial real estate related issues, including, market research and analysis; strategic assessment; office lease or purchase negotiations; project management; and ongoing lease/facility management.

Alan Doak is a Principal and one of the founding leaders of Proveras Commercial Realty.

Expertise

Alan is a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), he holds a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation and he has achieved his LEED Green Associate credentials. These credentials and his experience allow Alan to consult on all aspects of commercial real estate, including leasing, investment and sustainability.

Alan is an Ottawa native and a graduate of Queen’s University.

Experience

Alan started his career in commercial real estate working for a multi-national firm in Toronto for which he represented public and private sector clients in the development and leasing of office, commercial, and industrial projects. Since moving back to Ottawa in 2006, Alan has had the privilege of acting as agent for many of Ottawa’s most significant public and private sector organizations.

Experience:

Bruce began his career in commercial real estate in Montreal not long after graduating from university. He first worked for Leopold Property Consultants as a tenant representative advisor, followed by moving to Ottawa and spending 9 years at Canada Post as Real Estate Manager. Later, he worked as National Director of Real Estate for NAV Canada before transitioning back to brokerage where he continues to exclusively represent office tenants. Bruce has acted on behalf of many of Ottawa’s most notable private and public sector organizations.

Expertise:

Bruce is the only active broker in the National Capital Region with a degree in electrical engineering, which helps him to understand his client’s lab, server, and IT requirements.  He has earned his Accredited Professional status in green real estate through the Canada Green Building Council (LEED AP). Bruce has also achieved his Office Specialist designation through SIOR (Society of Industrial and Office Realtors), which is a designation held by the top 1% of commercial realtors globally.

Shawn joins Proveras with over 30 years experience working in the Ottawa and Canadian commercial real estate markets, having been a trusted advisor to Crown Corporations and the Federal GovernmentHe has also assisted a wide range of private sector organizations in the technology, finance, and legal sectors.  

In addition to his years in brokerage, Shawn has held senior leadership positions with a global commercial real estate services company, and one of Canada’s most prominent real estate development and management firms.

Shawn is a native of Ottawa whose family settled in the areas over 200 years ago. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto. With a wealth of experience in Ottawa’s commercial real estate market, Shawn has established himself as a trusted expert in the industry. Over the years, he has successfully assisted numerous clients in buying, selling, and leasing millions of square feet of commercial space. Shawn’s meticulous approach, attention to detail, and dedication to providing exceptional service, have earned him a reputation as a go-to professional for all commercial real estate needs in Ottawa.

During his tenure with Bentall, Brandon oversaw leasing transactions totaling in excess of 1,000,000 square feet across bcIMC’s prestigious Class “A” office portfolio in Ottawa. This tenure provided Brandon with a profound understanding of real estate dynamics, offering insights from both the tenant and landlord perspectives. Such a dual perspective equips him with the ability to provide clients with strategic insights throughout lease negotiations and the fit-up and relocation processes, regardless of prevailing market conditions..   

Drawing upon his industry experience and knowledge, Brandon enables his clients to make well-informed decisions that align seamlessly with their corporate real estate objectives.

Brandon started his career in commercial real estate in December 2011. He has professional experience representing both tenants and as an institutional landlord representative with Bentall Kennedy (now QuadReal).

Lori has been with Proveras since the very beginning and brings with her over 18 years of financial expertise from both the profit and non-profit sectors. Lori has held various roles as the CFO for an Ottawa based Charity, a Director of Finance and Administration for a public relations firm, a Director of Finance for an international non-profit company located in Afghanistan, Haiti and East Timor.

As Director of Finance and Operations, Lori’s primary responsibilities include Controllership, Treasury and Economic strategy and forecasting.  She also acts as liaison to the auditors, government regulatory bodies such as CRA, the corporate banker and the corporate lawyers.

Community Involvement

Ongoing supporter and volunteer of the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation, the Ontario SPCA and WaterAid Canada.

Prior to joining Proveras, Laura spent over 10 years in working for a national public relations firm, where she held progressively more senior roles in office management and finance. Laura supports many facets of Proveras’ operations, including bookkeeping, customer service, and compliance.

Outside of the office, Laura is a wife, mother, curler in the winter, and golfer in the summer.

Rosanne Hayes

Rosanne has been working with Proveras since the beginning and brings with her over 11 years of experience in creative services and public relations.  Rosanne has had senior marketing and communications roles with a global business advisory firm, a multi-national commercial real estate brokerage and a global engineering corporation.

In her role as Director of Marketing and Communications, Rosanne is responsible for planning, development and implementation of all of Proveras’ marketing and communications strategies. Rosanne also oversees reporting and development of any presentation materials during client engagements.
